ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education seeks a Special Education Teacher to join its Elementary Education team. You will design personalized learning experiences for students with IEPs in a learning center and classroom, delivering targeted instruction and collaborating with staff to meet diverse needs.

The role emphasizes PBIS, differentiated instruction, and comprehensive lesson planning within a supportive, innovative culture focused on student growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or closely related field.
• Licensed IL educator credential in process or maintained.
• IL SSE or LBS1 credential in process or obtained.
• Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
• Experience with curriculum development and differentiated instruction.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for Elementary School students with IEPs, designing personalized learning experiences.
• Deliver targeted instruction with differentiated approaches in co‑teaching settings.
• Develop and implement IEP goals and interventions.
• Prepare detailed daily lesson plans aligned to standards.
• Maintain organized, safe, welcoming classroom environments and manage resources.
