Job summary

FCX Performance, located in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to build relationships with customers and support our outside sales team. This full-time permanent role focuses on understanding customer process flow control needs and providing technical and application information.

You will manage orders from quotation to delivery, respond to inquiries, and propose related products to grow sales while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred (education)
• 1-3+ years experience in Customer Service related industry preferred
• Experience in an Inside Technical Sales/Customer Service role with an Industrial Distributor is a plus

Responsibilities

• Sell company products and services to customers by processing orders, price and delivery inquiries, providing technical and application information, soliciting customer orders and suggesting additional products in a fast paced multi-tasking environment.
• Maintains responsibility of orders from quotation to collection: select and specify a variety of products utilizing FCX/vendor tools; respond to customer inquiries; process orders and send acknowledgements; review PO for special conditions; check availability and ship dates.
• Increases order size by suggesting related items, explaining features, and leveraging customer buying history; process/expedite orders, returns and vendor returns; locate products and create purchase orders; follow up with vendors for timely delivery.
• Negotiates pricing and delivery with vendors when necessary; works closely with Outside Salesman in soliciting business and maintaining superior customer service levels; communicates effectively as part of the branch/division inside sales team; maximize gross margin.
• Reviews open customer order reports and acts on items at risk of missing delivery dates; performs other duties as assigned by Management.
