Job summary

Vallen Distribution, Inc. is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to cultivate customer relationships, process orders, and ensure product availability.

You will be the primary contact for service offerings, pricing, scheduling, and shipping inquiries, and you will identify upsell opportunities. You will collaborate with the sales team to pursue new business in assigned segments, prepare quotes, and support customers through post-sale training and service transitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3–5 years inside sales experience or equivalent combination.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports.
• Ability to interface with customers over the phone and in person with diplomacy.
• Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, and other figures.
• Entrepreneurial and assertive mindset to achieve revenue goals.
• Experience aiming to grow market share and revenue.

Responsibilities

• Remotely contact current and potential customers to grow prospects and sales.
• Generate and refer leads to the sales team.
• Assist with preparing quotes, bids, and proposals.
• Provide post-sale training, support, and service transition.
• Resolve customer issues with empathy and value articulation.
• Drive use of digital tools and monitor KPIs and reports.
• Ensure timely billing and resolution of AR disputes.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, pricing, and SOPs.
• Assist in large project proposals and implementations.
• Collaborate with partners to implement strategic initiatives.
