Job summary

United Rentals is the world's largest equipment rental provider seeking an Inside Sales Rep to drive revenue for the branch. You will handle in-branch rentals, customer relations, telemarketing, and collections, while advising on product needs and ensuring superior service.

You’ll establish new rental and sales accounts, quote and process contracts, educate customers on equipment usage, and coordinate with staff to deliver seamless service. A strong sales and service background is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong customer service orientation with sales experience/skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word and Excel).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Engineering aptitude to size, quote, install and maintain large projects.

Responsibilities

• Establish understanding of rental business for specialty engineered products and services.
• Develop new rental and sales accounts via telemarketing and call-ins.
• Process rental quotations, reservations, contracts and invoices per policy.
• Educate customers on proper equipment usage and safety procedures.
• Ensure accuracy of contract information in the branch system.
• Coordinate and track daily equipment pickups and returns.
• Run reports to monitor equipment and facilitate operations.
• Coordinate with branch staff to deliver customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of branch assets.
