Job summary

Merchants Metals, a leader in fencing systems, seeks an Inside Sales Representative to partner with assigned customers and grow their business. You will listen, identify needs, and close opportunities while providing world-class service.

Daily responsibilities include managing orders, quoting projects, and delivering accurate product information. Candidates should have 1–3 years in sales or customer service and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience in inside sales, sales, or customer service
• A high school diploma or GED
• Familiarity with CRM or ERP systems to manage pipelines, orders, and customer data
• Understanding of construction, building materials, or fencing products to support customer needs and product recommendations

Responsibilities

• Partner with assigned customers to grow their business
• Listen, ask questions, and uncover pain points to drive sales
• Identify, qualify, and close prospects that fit the ideal customer profile
• Ensure accurate order entry, picking, loading, and on‑time delivery of orders
