Job summary

Eastern Metal Supply is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to build and grow assigned accounts in a fast-paced metals supply environment. You will handle quotes, pricing, order management, and proactive outreach to generate new business while delivering excellent customer service.

The role emphasizes collaboration with internal teams, accurate data entry in quotes and configurations, and the ability to identify customer needs and deliver solutions that support retention and growth.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree is preferred or equivalent sales experience.
• Prior customer service and sales experience required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to provide a high level of customer service and support.
• Establish and maintain strong customer relationships to identify current and future sales opportunities.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, availability, and order status.
• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate quotes, pricing, and configurations in accordance with company policies.
• Effectively document sales orders, quotes, and customer communications.
• Interpret customer requirements and recommend appropriate products or solutions.
• Generate new business through outbound calls, follow-up on leads, and proactive sales outreach.
• Close sales opportunities generated through inbound and outbound efforts.
• Submit timely call reports and track sales activities.
• Prepare sales reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity.
