Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to sell repair work identified during fire and life safety inspections. You’ll prepare proposals, follow up on quotes, and secure commitments from customers by phone while maintaining strong relationships.

The role requires excellent communication, a high school diploma, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Training is provided; strong sales drive and customer service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, Excel, Word, and web-based tools.
• Highly motivated and success-driven with a proven sales mindset.
• Must complete a defined training program after hire.
• Ability to close sales with a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Sell repair work identified during inspections.
• Prepare proposals and follow up on quotes.
• Gain commitment from customers over the phone.
• Communicate promptly with customers about system integrity issues and recommendations.
• Develop positive ongoing relationships with customers.
• Maintain and update deficiency tracking daily.
• Report progress to management weekly and monthly.
• Deliver sales to an assigned quota.
• Coordinate with service team to ensure quality repairs.
