Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service, sales, or electrical distribution experience.
• High School or GED - Required

Responsibilities

• Process telephone orders by quoting prices, delivery specs, and payment terms and offer substitutes where appropriate.
• Assist outside sales personnel by processing priority transactions.
• Utilize digital tools to sell, market, promote, demonstrate products, answer technical questions, and grow business with new and existing customers.
• Prospect for new accounts within a defined territory.
• Manage a defined customer base and maintain relationships with customers.
• Learn and evaluate customer operations to identify objectives and preferences; close orders and resolve issues using root-cause analysis.
• Process quotations/proposals and provide follow-up through purchasing cycle.
• Gather and report information on company, competitors, pricing, products and market trends to management.
• Participate in product meetings, product seminars and training to maintain knowledge.
• Pursue product applications with internal resources or vendor reps.
• May perform other branch duties including counter sales, order processing, stocking and shipping.
