Job summary

Foundation Building Materials is seeking an Inside Sales professional to build strong customer relationships through expert guidance and service, from the front counter to tailored solutions.

You will handle quotes, orders, showroom activities, and deliveries, working with outside reps and internal teams to drive profitable sales while maintaining product knowledge and accurate data entry. This full-time role in Peoria, AZ offers a competitive hourly wage and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years inside sales experience (incoming call preferred).
• Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner.
• Ability to focus on different tasks and use time efficiently to achieve desired outcomes.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
• Warehouse work which includes forklift experience/training.
• Experience in inside sales, construction, or building materials is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Sales Support: maintain professional communication with customers, provide product knowledge, generate quotes and proposals, assist walk-in customers, and drive profitable sales through upselling and cross-selling.
• Order Management & Communication: enter orders, pricing, and customer data; respond to orders and quotes via phone, email, fax; collaborate with outside sales reps and internal teams.
• Inventory & Showroom Operations: maintain stock levels, organize showroom, support inventories; coordinate inbound/outbound deliveries and shipping logistics; negotiate freight rates.
• Cash Handling & System Use: operate and balance cash drawer; use management software for billing, reporting, and project tracking.
• Product & Project Knowledge: maintain up-to-date product knowledge; manage documentation and order details for large or complex projects.
• Logistics & Operations Coordination: coordinate deliveries with Operations staff; coordinate purchase and delivery of special products.
• Trainings: attend all required meetings related to sales and company training programs.
• Miscellaneous: support company values in safety, customer focus, teamwork, integrity and other duties as assigned.
