Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Inside Sales Rep to be the welcoming face of the store. You will advise customers, provide quotes, and help manage day-to-day sales with a strong emphasis on service.

You will learn our products and POS system, with training provided and a compensation plan that includes commission without a cap. This full-time role offers opportunities for growth within Carter Lumber.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or customer service.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Effective communication skills.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful but not required.
• Ability to be a team player.
• Ability to meet sales and profit goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers as they walk in and share product information.
• Provide advice on project needs and produce estimates for packages/projects.
• Process transactions and follow up on online quotes.
• Cold call to qualify new leads and support Outside Sales Reps.
• Assist in inventory control through cycle counts and resolving overages/shortages.
