Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking an Inside Sales & Service Representative – Parts for our Richmond, VA Customer Center. This onsite role handles parts identification, quotes, pricing, order processing, and delivery coordination, supporting customers through the full sales cycle.

You will collaborate with customers, outside sales, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure accurate orders and timely communication, with potential for lead generation and market development as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in inside sales or service roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inbound customer inquiries and generate sales of compressed-air products, services, and parts.
• Assist customers with parts identification and prepare accurate quotes with product requirements and pricing.
• Follow up on quotations to support conversion to orders.
• Process and manage orders from entry through delivery, monitoring schedules and expediting shipments as needed.
• Serve as a primary customer contact throughout the sales cycle, providing updates and resolving order or delivery concerns.
• Manage inventory to appropriate stocking levels and coordinate outside purchases and transportation expenses efficiently.
• Maintain accurate customer records, purchase orders, sales documentation, and activity reports.
• Partner with outside sales and Customer Center personnel to support customer needs, lead generation, and market information.
• Operate a forklift and perform parts warehouse duties in accordance with training and safety requirements.
