Job summary

Plaid is building our first-ever inside sales team of Associate Account Executives, and seeking a strong sales leader to establish this function from the ground up. You will shape playbooks, develop talent, and scale repeatable motions across verticals.

You will coach reps, partner with cross-functional teams, and drive the early growth of Plaid's revenue in enterprise accounts. This leadership role reports to the Head of Enterprise Sales and blends hands-on coaching with strategic operational

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sales experience in a high-growth environment.
• 2+ years in a sales leadership or team lead role.
• Proven track record as a quota-carrying seller in complex, multi-persona deals.
• Experience selling to financial institutions, fintechs, or enterprise accounts.
• Ability to bring clarity and process across two segments with different stakeholders.
• Strong organization and data-driven approach; thrive in evolving environments.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with Product, Risk, Legal, and Solutions Engineering.
• Passion for developing talent and building an early-career sales bench.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 8-10 Account Executives, driving pipeline development and deal strategy.
• Coach AEs with hands-on guidance across discovery, pricing, objection handling, and full-cycle deals.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop top sales talent, and design ramp and performance bars.
• Scale the team playbook across product areas and verticals with repeatable motions.
• Run pipeline reviews, deal inspections, and forecast calls to improve pipeline creation, conversion, and forecast accuracy.
• Partner with Marketing, Product, and cross-functional stakeholders on vertical strategy.
• Work with GTM leadership on KPIs, CRM hygiene, capacity planning, and revenue targets.
