Job summary

SCI seeks a Family Service Counselor to assist client families by arranging cemetery and pre-need plans, delivering compassionate, personalized service and driving revenue for the location. You will be the primary contact for families from first contact through aftercare and referrals.

The role requires strong listening, empathy, and communication skills, plus ability to work evenings or weekends and maintain high professionalism.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of college or equivalent education and experience.
• 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an insurance license if required.

Responsibilities

• Lead generation through prospecting, referrals, and community relations.
• Build relationships with families through empathetic, professional service.
• Respond to inquiries promptly and manage appointments with attention to detail.
• Collaborate with funeral directors and staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
