Job summary

Marmon Utility LLC in Milford, CT is seeking an Inside Sales Specialist to deliver exceptional customer support for assigned accounts and to process orders accurately. You will be the primary contact between customers, Manufacturer Representatives, and internal teams to drive revenue and satisfaction.

You will prepare quotes, manage POs, respond to inquiries, handle returns/credits, maintain pricing confidentiality, and collaborate across departments to improve processes and customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, account support, or a related customer-facing role.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred, or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience with ERP and CRM systems preferred; strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for assigned Manufacturer Representatives and customer accounts, building relationships and delivering a superior customer experience.
• Prepare and provide accurate product quotations, including pricing, lead times, terms, and delivery commitments.
• Process customer purchase orders and enter sales orders accurately while complying with pricing and operational requirements.
• Respond to inquiries regarding product availability, pricing, promotions, order status, and shipping details.
• Manage returns, reshipments, and customer credits by coordinating with internal and external partners.
• Investigate and resolve customer issues by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer pricing, cost, margins, and other sensitive information.
• Submit credit requests and collaborate with Credit team to facilitate order releases.
• Support RMAs and collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance, IT, and Customer Service on process improvements.
