Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required or preferred.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, develops outcomes, and coordinates care.
• Directs care and utilizes assistants appropriately.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff; documents care plan.
• Participates in shared governance, committees, and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses and updates care plans accordingly.
• Uses evidence and research to guide nursing practice.
