Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an experienced Staff Nurse Inpatient in Illinois. You will provide nursing care to acutely ill patients using the nursing process, coordinate with the health team, and ensure adherence to ethics and compliance.

This role requires a BSN and active IL RN license, BLS, strong communication, and collaboration. ER experience preferred with ACLS and PALS/ENPC & TNCC within one year. Pediatric ER credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• BSN and current IL RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• ER-specific: ACLS and PALS/ENPC & TNCC within one year of hire.
• Pediatric ER: TNCC within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinate with physicians, patients and families to develop care plans.
• Direct care delivery and supervision of assistants involved in patient care.
• Document patient responses and outcomes in health records; personalize plans accordingly.
• Participate in governance, committees, and unit projects.
