Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Staff Nurse Inpatient to deliver direct bedside care for acutely ill patients in an inpatient setting in Illinois. The nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care, coordinate with physicians and the health team, and document outcomes in accordance with ANA standards.

Required: BSN preferred, ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within three years, Illinois RN licensure, and BLS; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS/ENPC & TNCC) may be

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within three years of employment.
• Registered Nurse licensure in Illinois required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be required for specialized units.

Responsabilités

• Collects data, plans and coordinates care, implements nursing interventions and evaluates outcomes.
• Directs care and determines utilization of nursing staff and assistants.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff; documents care plans and communications.
• Participates in governance, committees and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses to interventions and updates the care plan accordingly.
• Uses evidence-based practice to guide clinical decisions.
