Qualifications

• BSN required for Staff Nurse Inpatient position.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.
• ADN may be accepted if committed to obtaining a BSN within 3 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, develops and implements an individualized plan, coordinates care delivery and evaluates progress toward outcomes.
• Directs care and utilizes any required assistants for direct patient care.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff to communicate plans and decisions.
• Participates in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects.
• Evaluates and documents patient responses to nursing interventions in the health record.
• Uses evidence, including research findings, to guide practice decisions.
