Job summary
Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL seeks an experienced Staff Nurse Inpatient to provide high-quality nursing care for acutely ill patients. Qualifications
- BSN required.
- Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.
- Commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of first day in clinical nurse role.
Responsibilities
- Collects and analyzes data, identifies outcomes, develops and implements an individualized plan of care.
- Directs care and utilizes any nursing assistants as appropriate.
- Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff; documents plan and communications.
- Participates in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects.
- Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions and updates the care plan.
- Uses evidence-based practice and research to guide nursing decisions.
