Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Winfield, IL is seeking a Staff Nurse Inpatient to deliver high‑quality nursing care through the full nursing process, coordinating with physicians, families and the health team for acutely ill patients. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care while upholding ANA standards and hospital policies.

Required: BSN, current IL RN license and BLS; ADN may be accepted with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years.

Qualifications

• BSN required for staff nurse inpatient role.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.
• ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, develops and adjusts patient care plans.
• Directs care and coordinates with assistants in delivering patient care.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff; documents care plans and decisions.
• Participates in shared governance and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions and adjusts care.
• Uses evidence and research to guide practice decisions.
