The Psychiatric Nursing Assistant II (PNA II) position at Texas Health and Human Services Commission in El Paso is an in-patient role supporting recovery-focused care under an RN supervision.

You will deliver direct patient care, participate in recovery planning, assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and contribute to safety and crisis interventions while working a rotating schedule including night shifts.

Qualificações

• Twelve (12) months of direct care experience is preferred.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within the first 60 days of employment.
• Ability to read, write and understand English to effectively communicate and carry out instructions.

Responsabilidades

• Provides patient care services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
• Maintains direct and ongoing therapeutic interactions to support recovery goals.
• Participates in shift reports and recovery team meetings.
• Assists with monitoring medications and vital signs within competency.
• Promotes safety and conducts crisis interventions using TIPS under RN supervision.
• Co-facilitates groups and supports discharge and continuation of care.
