Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission in Harlingen, TX is seeking a Psychiatric Nursing Assistant II to provide supervised patient care in an inpatient psychiatric unit. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress as part of the recovery team.

The role requires at least 12 months of direct care experience preferred, CPR certification or ability to obtain, and strong teamwork and communication skills to support individualized recovery

Qualifications

• Knowledge of patient care techniques.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain.
• Ability to work with others and accept supervision.
• Ability to train and provide guidance to others.

Responsibilities

• Attends work on a regular basis and may be asked to work specific shifts.
• Supports implementation of individualized recovery plans.
• Provides patient care under RN supervision in inpatient setting.
• Maintains documentation of patient conditions and behaviors.
• Participates in shift reports and recovery team meetings.
