Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking a Pharmacy Technician 2 to assist in medication distribution and related tasks. The role supports safe dispensing, accurate billing, and inventory management in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.

The technician may work under a pharmacist preceptor, handling IV admixtures and routine dispensing while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and department procedures.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience requested.
• Must meet TX Board of Pharmacy requirements for Intern/Technician roles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a specialized area of responsibility in purchasing, receiving, auditing, compounding, billing, informatics, and reconciliation.
• Enter medication orders from doctors' sheets or prescriptions and ensure correct dispensing and billing data.
• Complete paperwork to ensure payment for and delivery of pharmacy supplies; monitor lost charges.
• Order supplies daily and coordinate returns for expired pharmaceuticals.
• Assist in Drug Recall Process and maintain clean, stocked work environment.
• Perform IV admixtures using aseptic techniques under supervision.
