Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to support pharmacists, manage inventory, and deliver care in accordance with state board regulations. The role involves dispensing, labeling, stock handling, and assisting patients and staff under pharmacist supervision.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and less than one year of experience; TX Pharmacy Board licenses (PHT or intern) are required.

Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: Less than 1 year of experience.
• Certification/license: Pharmacy Technician license (PHT) or TX Pharmacy Tech intern license.

Responsabilités

• Performs limited pharmacy services and duties related to stocking, preparation, labeling, dispensing and delivery of medications.
• Assists patients and medical staff with nonjudgmental questions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist preceptor.
• Answers incoming phone calls and directs callers to the right person for service.
• Communicates with team members when inventory is low; helps with drug purchasing and inventory control.
• Performs tasks concerning pharmacy quality control, records management, and preparation of orders for drugs.
• Enters medication orders from doctors' sheets or prescriptions; ensures correct product, dosage, and billing data.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and work area; sterilizes glassware as needed.
