Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician 2 to support medication distribution and pharmaceutical care under a pharmacist preceptor. You will assist in compounding, billing, and ensuring accurate dispensing while maintaining a clean, organized work area.

The role requires physical presence on site, with rotation of weekends and holiday coverage. A HS Diploma and 1 year of experience are expected, along with potential TX Board of Pharmacy registration depending on role.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1 year of experience is preferred.
• TX Board of Pharmacy registration requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a specialized area and assist in purchasing, receiving, auditing, and billing.
• Enter medication orders from doctors' sheets or prescriptions and ensure accurate dispensing.
• Verify dosage form and charge quantity with formulary items.
• Complete paperwork to ensure payment and delivery of pharmacy supplies.
• Monitor returns and manage inventory control and shelf stocking.
• Assist with IV admixtures following regulatory standards and aseptic technique.
