Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician 2 in McKinney, TX to support medication distribution and pharmaceutical care. The role involves handling prescriptions, supporting inventory, and assisting with billing and recalls in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The technician will work under a pharmacist preceptor, perform sterile and nonsterile compounding where required, and help maintain accurate records and a well-stocked pharmacy area.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• TX Board of Pharmacy registration/certification as applicable.

Responsabilités

• Distribute medications and maintain a specialized area.
• Enter medication orders from doctors’ sheets or prescriptions; ensure correct product and billing.
• Complete paperwork for payment and delivery of pharmacy supplies; monitor charges.
• Order supplies daily and coordinate returns for expired pharmaceuticals.
• Coordinate the Drug Recall Process.
• Maintain a clean, stocked work environment and perform inventory control.
• Compound or admix ingredients under pharmacist supervision; prepare IV admixtures as needed.
• Assist patients and staff with questions under a pharmacist preceptor.
• Deliver medications to patients and carts to floors daily.
