Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Dallas, TX is seeking a Pharmacy Technician 2 to support medication distribution and pharmaceutical care. You will work independently in a specialized area and help ensure accurate dispensing.

You will handle orders from doctors, assist with billing, inventories, IV admixtures under supervision, and support both patients and medical staff with clear, respectful communication.

Qualifications

• Excellent social skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
• General computer skills include using software applications, data entry, information security, electronic medical documentation, handheld scanning, and email.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a specialized area of responsibility and aids in pharmaceutical care.
• Enter medication orders from doctors' sheets or prescriptions and ensure correct dispensing.
• Complete and file paperwork to ensure payment for and delivery of pharmacy supplies.
• Order supplies daily and coordinate returns for credit when expired.
• Coordinate the Drug Recall Process and maintain a clean, stocked work environment.
• Compound or admix ingredients under supervision for dispensing and sterile prep.
• Perform IV admixtures following regulatory standards as required.
• Assist patients and medical staff with questions under a pharmacist preceptor's supervision.
