University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center seeks an experienced Pharmacy Technician for the Inpatient Pharmacy. The role focuses on sterile compounding, unit dose dispensing, IV admixture, and specialized systems for controlled substances and investigational drugs.

Requirements include a high school diploma, active TX Pharmacy Technician registration, and at least two years in an inpatient setting with one year of hands-on sterile compounding. Evening shift, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Two years pharmacy technician experience in a hospital, infusion center, or retail pharmacy.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP).
• Preferred: Certification in IV sterile compounding (ACPE).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsabilités

• Accurately fill cart fills and first doses.
• Pull medications to refill controlled cabinets and restock areas.
• Deliver medications and supplies to designated areas and prepare sterile products (SVP, LVP, chemotherapy, biotherapy, investigational agents).
• Maintain inventory control including cycle counts and addressing shortages; enforce security and accountability.
