Job summary

Allina Health in Shakopee, MN is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to ensure patient safety by accurately preparing and dispensing medications. You will manage inventory, process prescriptions, and provide excellent customer service to support pharmacists in patient care.

Responsibilities include sterile compounding, chemotherapy preparation, and assisting with drug distribution while under pharmacist supervision.

Qualifications

• Six months of pharmacy experience or current national pharmacy technician certification (PTCB or NHA).
• ASHP-accredited technician training preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile parenteral products with barcode-assisted technology per USP 797/800.
• Prepare chemotherapy using barcode-assisted technology per USP 800.
• Support pharmacy activities as needed including drug dispensing and IV preparation for surgery patients.
• Manage automated drug distribution and restock ADCs and cabinets.
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and report discrepancies to pharmacist.
