Job summary

Allina Health in Cambridge, MN is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to ensure patient safety by accurately preparing and dispensing medications. You will manage inventory and processing prescriptions, enabling pharmacists to focus on direct patient care while delivering excellent service and guidance to patients.

Responsibilities include sterile compounding, IV preparation, order fulfillment, and supporting the Pharmacy Buyer.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience to meet required competencies.
• 0 to 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile parenteral products using barcode tech while adhering to USP 797 and 800.
• Prepares chemistry using barcode tech while adhering to USP 800.
• Controlled substance audits (less than 50% of time).
• Supports OR satellite pharmacist with drug dispensing and IV preparation for surgery patients.
• Medication picking, delivery, and restocking to automated dispensing cabinets (ADC).
• Repackages and labels bulk medications or splits tablets into unit dose packaging.
