Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient operations in-person. The role involves accurate preparation, labeling, and delivery of medications, under pharmacist supervision, within the hospital pharmacy.

You will perform sterile compounding when trained, assist with IV admixtures, triage pharmacy calls, and help maintain Meds supply and workflow while contributing to a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current MN Pharmacy Technician Registration required.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification within 1 year of hire, or Intern license.
• Graduation from an accredited technician program or 240-hour training or 1,000 hours of experience.
• Excellent computer and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, label, and deliver medications after pharmacist check.
• Perform pharmaceutical calculations for correct doses.
• Aseptically prepare IV admixtures when trained.
• Triage pharmacy calls and resolve issues.
• Maintain medication supply and remove outdated meds throughout facility.
• Assist with patient charging and pharmacy finances as needed.
• Maintain equipment and work areas per procedures.
