Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for casual, day/evening shifts at our Faribault campus in Minnesota. You will perform basic drug distribution, prepare labels, and support sterile and chemotherapy preparations under pharmacist supervision.

The role expands to inventory checks, data entry, and medication distribution to automated cabinets. Candidates should have 0–2 years of pharmacy experience, be at least 18, and meet MN licensing requirements within 12 months.

Qualifications

0 to 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
ASHP accredited pharmacy technician training program preferred
Registered Pharmacy Technician with MN Board of Pharmacy required upon hire, with certification within 12 months

Responsibilities

Prepare sterile parenteral products using barcode assisted technology while adhering to USP 797 and 800 requirements
Prepares chemotherapy using barcode assisted technology while adhering to USP 800 requirements
Controlled substance audit technician (less than 50% of time)
Supports OR satellite pharmacist with drug dispensing and IV preparation for surgery patients
Manage and support automated drug distribution
Medication picking, delivery, and restocking to automated dispensing cabinets (ADC)
Troubleshoots malfunctioning equipment
Delivers and restocks controlled substances
Prepares medications and prepares and selects medications for distribution
