Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the Richfield Clinic Community Pharmacy. This in-person role operates under a pharmacist's supervision, performing technical and clerical duties to ensure safe, accurate medication preparation and patient care within the hospital and community.

Responsibilities include handling prescriptions, insurance processing, inventory management, and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Registration with MN State Board.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification within 1 year of hire, employee-paid.
• Or Current Intern License with MN Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones for the pharmacy and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain knowledge of Hospital Credit and Collection policies.
• Prepackage, label, and hand out prescriptions after pharmacist review.
• Maintain cash registers, credit card machines, and cash transaction reporting.
• Prepare daily deposits for cashier’s office.
• Bill and credit patient medications; stock inventory.
• Deliver medications to patient care areas and pick up new orders.
