Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist with medication distribution and related tasks in a hospital setting. The role supports various pharmacy functions, including purchasing, inventory, billing, and patient delivery, under pharmacist supervision.

Responsibilities include entering orders, verifying labels, and maintaining a clean, compliant work area. Requires TX Board of Pharmacy eligibility and 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma/GED equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year of experience.
• Certification/Registration: TX Board of Pharmacy requirements (RPH-INT or PHT).
• Pharmacy tech roles require reading/understanding flow charts and proper labeling/dispensing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a specialized area and supports pharmaceutical care.
• Enter medication orders from doctors' sheets or prescriptions and fill per label.
• Complete paperwork for payment and delivery of pharmacy supplies, monitor charges.
• Stock, rotate, clean shelves; manage recalls and inventory as needed.
• Perform IV admixtures using aseptic techniques as required by regulations.
• Deliver medications to patients and deliver carts to floors daily.
