Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• TX Board of Pharmacy certification: RPH-INT or PHT.
• Must be eligible for TX Pharmacy Technician licensure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a specialized area and assist in pharmaceutical care.
• Enter medication orders from doctors' sheets or prescriptions and verify correct product and dosage.
• Process paperwork for payment and delivery of pharmacy supplies; monitor charges.
• Order supplies daily and coordinate returns for credit for expired pharmaceuticals.
• Coordinate the Drug Recall Process.
• Maintain a clean, stocked work environment and perform inventory control.
• Compound or admix ingredients under pharmacist supervision; perform IV admixtures per standards.
• Assist patients and medical staff with questions under a pharmacist preceptor.
