Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician 2 to assist in distributing medications and supporting pharmaceutical care. The role requires a HS diploma or GED and 1 year of experience, with TX Board of Pharmacy registration (RPH-INT or PHT) preferred.

You will handle orders, compounding, and billing data within a busy hospital pharmacy. You will work under a pharmacist preceptor, supporting sterile and nonsterile compounding, medication reconciliation, and inventory control,

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• TX Board of Pharmacy registration: RPH-INT or PHT must be held or obtained.

Responsibilities

• Distributes medications and maintains a specialized pharmaceutical area.
• Enters medication orders, verifies dosage and billing data, and ensures correct labeling.
• Performs IV admixtures and sterile preparation under pharmacist supervision.
• Conducts inventory control, recalls, and coordination of drug supply and returns.
• Delivers medications to patients and delivers carts to floors as needed.
