Acentra Health, LLC is seeking a Medical Coder-Inpatient to review inpatient records for accurate diagnoses and procedures, ensuring CMS compliance and proper DRG assignment. The role requires ICD-10-CM/PCS expertise and strong attention to detail.

You will analyze documentation, abstract audit data, and communicate findings for reimbursement integrity in a production-driven environment. HIPAA compliance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required and 2+ years in inpatient coding or related healthcare documentation experience.
• Active certification options include CCS/CCA/CDIP, CPMA, CRC, CIC or CDEI, with CCS-P not accepted.
• Proficient in ICD-10-CM/PCS and inpatient coding guidelines with DRG knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 conventions.
• Validate MS-DRG assignments and coding accuracy based on clinical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, payer policies, and HIPAA.
• Abstract audit data and communicate coding discrepancies clearly.
