Job summary

Emerus is seeking a licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a night-shift, PRN role in a small-format hospital setting partnered with Baylor Scott & White Health. The LVN will deliver safe, compassionate nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse and contribute to the plan of care.

Responsibilities include medication administration, focused assessments, accurate documentation, and collaboration with the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education requirements include high school diploma or GED and licensure as an LVN/LPN.
• Two years of LVN/LPN experience in an acute care setting is required.
• Current LVN/LPN license in the practicing state; BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Pedagogy IV Certification must be completed within 30 days of hire.
• Position requires fluent English with strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, compassionate nursing care to assigned patients under RN supervision.
• Completes accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
• Administers medications according to organizational policies.
• Performs focused patient assessments per state nurse practice act and policy.
• Communicates with patients and families to coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment and adheres to infection control standards.
