Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking an Inpatient Coder II to code inpatient, rehabilitation, swing bed and LTACH services with ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines. The role involves querying physicians, educating coders, and ensuring compliance across coding and documentation workflows.

Candidates should have an HIM education background and professional credentials (CCS/RHIA/RHIT). Remote options are available for a defined set of states; the work supports collaboration with multiple departments to maintain data

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding guidelines and DRG assignments.
• Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or higher.
• CCS/RHIA/RHIT certification preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for inpatient services.
• Query providers to improve documentation and coding accuracy.
• Collaborate with clinical documentation, revenue integrity and other teams.
