Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta, GA seeks an Inpatient Coder for PRN coverage to support hospital coding operations during peak periods and staff shortages. You will review inpatient documentation, assign ICD-9-CM/ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes, and ensure accurate DRG capture for billing and compliance.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, AHIMA coding certificate preferred, and at least 1 year of hospital coding experience; RHIA/RHIT or CPC certificates are valued.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• Coding Certificate program (AHIMA accredited) Preferred

Work Experience

• 1 year of hospital coding experience Required
• Experience in coding at a multi-hospital organization and remote coding experience Preferred
