Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks an In-Patient Coder to handle medical coding and data entry for hospital inpatient visits, including CABG, orthopedic, and medical cases. Use 3M 360 Encoder HDM to streamline coding and billing.

Ideal candidates will have AHIMA or AAPC certification, 2 year degree or equivalent, and experience coding CABG/Ortho/Med cases with 3M 360 Encoder HDM. Compliance with HIPAA and related regulations is required.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree or equivalent experience required.
• AHIMA or AAPC certification required.
• Experience coding CABG, Ortho and Med cases is required.
• Experience using 3M 360 Encoder HDM is required.
• Must meet quality and productivity standards.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient: assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes and DRG based on documentation and site guidelines.
• Create compliant physician queries as needed.
• Review claims for medical necessity.
• Update problem lists in line with client contract.
• Assign present on admission indicators accurately.
• Provide excellent service to clients and teammates.
• Work across multiple sites and coding specialties as needed.
