Responsibilities

• Keep abreast of current technology to recommend solutions fitting system constraints and strategic outlook.
• Participate in feasibility, conceptual, and functional design studies.
• Advise user departments on functional design and impact on operations; analyze manual and automated systems.
• Analyze existing systems and databases; propose enhancements to meet business needs.
• Lead or participate in internal system acceptance testing and data preparation.
• Troubleshoot incidents reported by end-users and coordinate permanent resolutions.
• Coordinate and schedule system change requests with users and supervisors.
• Ensure systems meet business needs by liaising with users to define requirements.
• Enhance project management by defining timelines and presenting solutions.
• Decide changes to documentation, training, and programs with stakeholders.
• Possibly provide project management on small to mid-sized projects.
• Advise on software selection and changes to departmental procedures.
• Communicate requirements to team across UI, integration, testing, and training.
• In testing teams, assign and schedule staff to ensure timely testing.
• Apply problem-solving, communication, and strategic thinking to achieve outcomes with teams.
• Oversee document development and ensure client-ready final versions.
• Use templates to collect information.
• Demonstrate knowledge of defects and testing issues.
• Understand testing phases and articulate them clearly.
• Write simple to moderate test scripts and data.
