Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher for an elementary setting in Wheaton, IL. The role focuses on delivering personalized instruction to students with IEPs in a learning center or classroom, aligned to state standards and PBIS frameworks.

The candidate will design differentiated lessons, monitor progress, and maintain comprehensive records while collaborating with staff and families to support student growth and safe, inclusive environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• Current IL PEL credential or in process.
• IL SSE or LBS1 credential in progress or held.
• Ability to obtain crisis management certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for elementary students with IEPs.
• Deliver targeted instruction and design personalized learning.
• Develop lesson plans aligned to standards and IEP goals.
• Collaborate in co‑teaching environments to meet diverse needs.
• Track progress and generate detailed reports on student achievements.
