Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education, a ChanceLight company, is seeking a Special Education Teacher for an elementary learning center in Illinois. You will lead instructional planning for students with IEPs and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction aligned to state standards.

Collaborate with staff, track progress, and adapt curricula to diverse needs while applying PBIS and crisis-aware practices to foster growth and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or related field required.
• Current or in-progress IL educator credential (PEL) preferred.
• Experience with IEPs and special education services emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional processes for elementary students with IEPs.
• Deliver differentiated, targeted instruction in cohesive settings.
• Develop detailed lesson plans aligned to standards and IEP goals.
• Track progress and document student achievement and activities.
• Collaborate with staff and families to support student growth.
• Implement PBIS strategies and manage classroom environment.
