Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education in Illinois is seeking a Special Education Teacher to lead instructional planning for elementary students with IEPs, delivering differentiated instruction in learning centers or classrooms.

You will design personalized lessons, integrate educational software, and collaborate with staff to meet state standards and student goals, while applying PBIS and safeguarding a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or related field.
• IL professional educator (PEL) credential in process or current.
• IL SSE or LBS1 credential in process or current.
• Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
• Experience with curriculum development and differentiation.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for Elementary School students with IEPs.
• Deliver targeted instruction and create personalized lesson plans.
• Implement PBIS strategies and manage behavior in classroom.
• Track student progress and prepare reports detailing achievements.
• Collaborate in co-teaching environments to meet IEP goals.
• Differentiate content to accommodate diverse learning needs.
