Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher in Illinois to lead instructional planning for elementary students with IEPs in a learning center or classroom setting. The role emphasizes dynamic, personalized instruction, differentiation, and collaboration to support diverse needs.

You will design engaging lessons, integrate technology, and align activities with state standards while maintaining detailed progress documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• IL professional educator credential (PEL) for Elementary or in process.
• IL SSE or LBS1 credential in process or current.
• Experience with IEPs, differentiation, and classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for Elementary students with IEPs.
• Deliver targeted instruction and develop comprehensive lesson plans.
• Utilize PBIS to establish a positive, inclusive classroom climate.
• Track progress and maintain student files and reports.
• Collaborate with staff to differentiate instruction and support at‑risk students.
• Ensure curriculum alignment with state standards and school expectations.
