Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Refrigeration Systems Engineer II to join our Trane Commercial Systems organization in La Crosse, WI. You will own all aspects of equipment design and component integration for water-to-water chillers and heat pumps, focusing on heating and cooling performance and system validation in the lab.

Collaborate with Compressor, Thermal, Controls, Electrical, and Manufacturing teams both locally and with groups overseas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required (BSME preferred).
• Master's degree is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration HVAC systems and testing.
• Experience with validation test plan development and execution.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering knowledge to model Chiller and Heat Pump performance.
• Identify and mitigate risks in design and development processes.
• Develop refrigeration subsystems to meet performance, regulatory, and cost targets.
• Conduct new technology and product development projects to improve function, reliability, or cost.
• Develop tools and processes for design and integration of new components.
