Job summary

Trane Technologies in La Crosse, WI is seeking a Product Development Systems Engineer to lead equipment design and component integration for commercial scroll & screw heat pumps and chillers. You will drive new product development, validation, and reliability, coordinating with engineering, manufacturing and suppliers across sites.

You will work Monday–Thursday onsite with colleagues, and Fridays you may choose your work location balancing what the role requires.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years of engineering work experience is required.
Experience with product design, bill of materials, engineering specifications, and product manufacturing.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills; able to work across functions and locations.

Responsibilities

Develop products for innovative chiller applications and expand offerings.
Lead new technology and product development projects to improve function, reliability or cost.
Improve tools and processes for design and integration of components within HVAC product lines.
Perform engineering analyses to verify performance and reliability of HVAC components.
Plan and direct laboratory tests and coordinate with suppliers to meet requirements.
Support or lead ad hoc teams on short duration projects.
Collaborate across development, production, design, marketing, and suppliers.
