Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Refrigeration Systems Engineer to join our Trane Commercial Systems organization. You will develop refrigeration subsystems, model system performance, and validate ideas in the laboratory while collaborating with Compressor Engineering, Thermal Systems, Controls, Electrical, and Manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Understand HVAC system functions: refrigeration, heat transfer, airflow and ventilation.
• Proficient in problem solving with strong communication skills.
• Ability to apply data analytics tools to lab and factory performance data.
• Master's degree in Engineering is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop refrigeration subsystems to meet performance, regulatory, and cost targets.
• Perform chiller/heat pump performance modeling for design decisions.
• Lead system performance, reliability, and quality improvement efforts.
• Support sales orders with performance selections and design modifications.
• Create and execute product validation test plans to verify performance and compliance.
