Job summary
Trane Technologies in La Crosse, WI is seeking a Refrigeration Systems Engineer II to design and integrate components for Water-to-Water chillers and heat pumps, performing performance modeling and validating ideas in the lab. You will collaborate with multiple engineering groups across locations in La Crosse, Shanghai and Bangalore to deliver reliable cooling and heating solutions.
The role requires a BS in Engineering with 2+ years of experience; MS is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and at least 2 years of engineering experience.
- Mechanical Engineering is preferred; Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven ability to conduct new technology and product development.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration HVAC systems and testing.
- Experience with validation plans and data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities
- Apply modeling to simulate chiller and heat pump performance.
- Identify and mitigate design risks with effective mitigation plans.
- Develop refrigeration subsystems for current and future products.
- Lead new technology and product development projects.
- Improve tools and processes for component design and integration.
- Perform engineering analyses and document results.
- Execute laboratory tests and collaborate with suppliers.
